Jezalee looked around her with a rare smile on her lips as she looked around her. She was in the auditorium - it had to be her favorite place in the whole entire school. While she was tormented and antagonized by other students in any other place, this was where she could be...her. She could sing, dance, do practically whatever she wanted. The stage gave her that freedom.
Her walking pace was slow as she approached the stage. Her footsteps - though muted by the type of flooring in the seating area - echoed about the large, empty room. There were seats, a way up to the tech room, and then there was her. There was the stage - but it was empty of everyone except for her.
It was a free period for her - she didn't have class because she had finished the one she would have right now last year with her good grades.
Everything would be wonderful right now - if she just had her guitar.
Jez got to the stage, and turned before hoisting herself up backwards. She got herself into a sitting position and she rested in the slightest back using her arms as supports. She grinned as she looked up to where the lights were beaming down, and when she looked back to her eye level and turned her head back toward the inside part of the stage, she saw the curtain, and the hints of it at the sides.
Paradise, was the word she could use to describe this.
Jez brought her legs onto the stage, and pushed herself up so she was standing now. Her shoes made little tip taps against the wooden floor of the stage. She brushed her blonde, wavy hair that was currently in a side ponytail behind her shoulder. Her shoes kept tip-tapping as she walked.
It echoed.
She smiled again and then sang quietly, not being able to help herself. Just a little bit, she told herself.
"'Do you know where your heart is? Do you think you can find it? Or did you trade it for something Somewhere better just to have it? Do you know where your love is? Do you think that you lost it? You felt it so strong, but Nothing's turned out how you wanted
Well, bless my soul You're a lonely soul Cause you won't let go Of anything you hold
Well, all I need Is the air I breathe And a place to rest My head...'"
A large smile came to her lips as her voice - which was actually pretty good, something most couldn't deny - echoed throughout the auditorium. She loved that song now, because it had pretty much been what Lucas had said - before he passed out that one time...but it had been the day that they both found out the strong feelings they had for each other.
She would always love that song now - Say All I Need.
Lucas was the best thing that had happened to her - how could she not love the song that reminded her of him?

Luke took a sharp breath as he entered his detention classroom. His worn out sneakers made no noise on the tiles, although he felt as if the silence was so loud that his head would explode. The teacher that was holding detention sat at her desk, examining a few tests. He knew one of them was his, he could feel it underneath his skin.
"Take a seat, Lucas,"
He flinched at the break of the quiet and sat down at the closest seat he could find. He felt incomplete without his skateboard. It was being held in the principals office at the moment, taken away for being left in a classroom and another student tripping on it. "Do you know why you're here today, Mr. Brown?" She asked with a quiet but sharp voice.
"I'm here everyday," "Is that so?" "You senile?" "Watch your mouth, young man. You are here because of this." She held up a familiar sight- a test with a D- on the top left corner.
He sighed and nodded. "You do know you are failing math, I am correct?" She asked, more of a statement than a question. He nodded, although it was reluctant. "Alright, then. Excuse me for a moment..." She said, standing up and leaving the room. He stood up and left as fast as he could, running down the hall and instinctively into the auditorium.
He heard Jezalee's voice.
It was soft and calming for him, so he eased into a seat and leaned his head on the wall. When she stopped singing, he looked up onto the stage and saw her standing there. He smiled and stood again, shoving his hands into his pockets of his hoodie. He was happy to say he liked her- no, loved her- but it wasn't easy to show that.
"That was...pretty," He said, shyly looking down. He felt as if he was a different person now.

Jez basked in the happiness that she felt having the reminder of Lucas, and being on the stage. She hadn't been to the auditorium lately unless it was for drama class. So, not very often. They hadn't been going to the auditorium very often in the one class that actually did go to the auditorium. Hell, she was so happy just standing on the stage in her vintage attire that she didn't even notice that someone had come into the auditorium.
What really shocked her was that she hadn't noticed that Lucas - whom she had been thinking of at that very moment - had walked into the auditorium.
When he spoke up, that was when she really took notice of him. Next time, she noted, she would have to pay closer attention when she was on the stage. She was lucky that it was Luke that had walked into the auditorium, and not...some asshole. Like - oh, per say - Jeremy Tornone.
God, that boy made her consider suicide and homicide.
A smile lit up Jez's features when she heard Luke comment on her singing, and she looked out into the seating area and saw him a little bit back - what she considered a little bit, which probably wasn't little to others - with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, and he was looking all shy and stuff as he looked down.
"Hey Luke." She chirped, the smile now a grin on her features. Her pearly whites were shown in this smile.
It was these times where she spoke or even saw Lucas Brown that it would be hard for anyone - even herself - to imagine her as the cold-hearted bitch everyone else knew as Jezalee Amaris Cross, twin sister of school king, Anthony Cross.
She tucked a bit of loose hair behind her ear, and felt her cheeks heat up a bit.
"You heard that?" She said, and her voice sounded warm and inviting as she gazed at Luke with what could be known as a warm, loving gaze. She did love him...a lot.
"Umm..." She fidgeted as she tried to have quick thinking on what to say - her thoughts often went blank around Caz. "So..." 'Talk, idiot! Stop stuttering!' She thought, mentally slapping herself for her less than witty, quick thinking mind that she usually possessed.
"What're you doing here in the auditorium, Lucas?" She said, rocking back and forth on her heels on the stage, biting her lower lip as she peered at him from the brightly lit stage.
