Jez sat in the cafeteria, her eyes on her lyrics notebook that was open in front of her. There was a little, thoughtful smile on her lips as she looked down at the song that she was currently working on. A bottle of water that was one fourth empty sat next to her, and her right hand had a pencil that was hovering a few centimeters above the lined notebook paper. Her blue eyes read over the notebook paper.
She was satisfied with this song.
A large smile was now on her lips, which was completely opposite of how most people knew her. Some people were staring at her, and she didn't care. She had a good song here - she knew it.
A sigh of content came from her lips as she lifted her water bottle, unscrewed the cap, and took a drink.
Success.

Addison was walking around the lunch room. She had forgotten to pack a lunch today so she was gonna buy. She had a long day and was kinda upset. Her locker had been broken with all her stuff inside and she was yelled at all day for not having her stuff for class. Addison saw Jez sitting there drinking her water. She was sitting by herself so she thought it would be nice to get to know her. She didnt tell anyone but she had a crush on her brother but her brother liked someone else. She had finally bought her lunch. She bought a salad with carrots, an apple and water. "Can I sit with you?" asked Addison with a swift smile on her face. She hoped she would say yes but if not she would sit outside.

Jez was staring at the lyrics to the song, and her grin just wouldn't go away. She couldn't wait to take her guitar to this song and -
Someone interrupted her excited thoughts.
Her smile faded as she looked up and saw a girl there - it was the new girl. Adele or Addie or Addison or something...she didn't really care. And the girl must not know that it's basically social suicide to associate with her - to socialize with Jezalee Cross was what most considered to be the equivalent of jumping off a building, socially wise.
"Sure, new girl." Jezalee said, shrugging a shoulder. It wasn't her fault the girl didn't know how bad it was to sit with her.
She would figure it out - she seemed smart. Or at least she was smart enough to ask Jez if she could sit with her instead of just going ahead and plopping down right in the seat.
Potential; that was this girl had.

Jem walked into the cafeteria, his eyes wandering for someone to annoy. He had big plans for this lunch period. He had been waiting for this day.. the day after major testing..the day in which most of the faculty in the school was grading tests during the free periods they had. That meant less staff in the cafeteria. His eyes scanned the room and finally caught someone he knew. Jezalee Cross..was she..smiling? Oh, no, that just won't do.. he thought to himself. She was never smiling, what the hell made her so happy? He didn't care much why she was happy, but he did care enough to go and ruin it.
Of course, her notebook was out..Holy crap..was she sitting with someone? Nobody sat with Jezalee, and he understood why. She wasn't exactly the best person to sit with if you wanted people to like you. Whatever, a friend of Jezalee's was an enemy of his, and it was time to act. First, he had to make sure she knew he was in there. He couldn't annoy her as much if she wasn't aware of his presence. He casually walked over to her from behind and flicked her ear. Jezaleelee, how goes it? You made a friend, huh? We're about to have some real fun in here, he said, the smirk widening on his face. He hadn't even gotten food yet, but the second he did, it was time. He sat across from Jez and near the other person whom he had never met. Jem Tornone, nice to meetcha, he said while nodding toward her.
He didn't want to sit with Jez anymore than a normal person would, but he had to get her in a worse mood before his plans could be commenced.

Addison thought about what she and Jezalee were gonna talk about but it didnt look like they had anything in common. Jezalee was into music and Addison was into being the center of attention and always getting what she wanted. Just because she moved to a different school, she didnt think anything would be different because she was the best. She had seen everyone in her grade and she definitely was the prettiest but there was this cute boy walking towards her. "Hi Jem. Im Addison. You have a cool name," she said with a smile. That was such an elementary school thing to say. Well he looked like he didnt like Jezalee and she didnt understand why.

Jez glowered at the table when she felt someone flick her ear and she heard the unfortunately familiar voice of Jeremy Tornone - her sworn enemy. "Like you care what's going on with me," she said, rolling her eyes. That smile of hers from the happiness of writing what she knew was a great song wouldn't go away - this was shown when her lips curved into a smile as she glanced toward her notebook before shutting it and stuffing her pencil in her pocket. "By the way, not a friend - she's the new girl, unless your little brain isn't even structured enough to understand and recognize that." She said, a slight bit of coldness leaking into her voice.
The smile still wouldn't leave though, and she took her notebook and cradled it close to her chest. It was her's and she didn't want Jeremy to touch it. Hell, she didn't even like him being near it at the current moment.
Her eyes widened for a moment, and the smile disappeared before it came back and grew.
"Well, then, I probably should get out of here..." She said slyly, and started to get out of her seat. But, she stopped for a moment when the new girl - Addison, it was - greeted Jeremy and then complimented his name. That was all she needed.
Now she knew what kind of person Addison was.
"Nice to know that I have a new person to avoid, though, Addison. Someone such as yourself would want to avoid someone like me. You're kind are on the other side of this lunch room - placed with my asshole and manwhore of a brother." She said, turning her head to give Addison a dark look before shaking her head.
"I'm not too kind to populars - most of the time, all they want is the group and crowd to run with...I'm not too fond of class clowns, either, as Jeremy already knows." She said, and the grin came back to her lips as she looked at him.
"But, I think I'll just be on my way..." She said, trailing off before beginning to leave the table.

Addison seems shocked when Jezalee sterotyped her. She didnt care who she was associated with she just wanted to make new friends. "I love how I'm automatically a popular just because I talk to him," sighed Addison. In her old school she was a popular but here she wanted to be Addison not some girl everyone follows. "I actually think its rude flick other people," Addison tells Jezalee. She cant believe she actually thinks that she is even close to that mean to anyone. She came over here and talked to her and now shes being rude. "Jem why dont you walk away and i dont know find another girl that would waste any energy speaking to you," snarled Addison. She liked Jezalee and she planned on sticking with her. She just wanted a friend.

Jez stopped for a moment when she heard Addison talking. Like how she was automatically assumed popular just from talking to Jeremy...which wasn't very true. Jez lived with a prick that was a popular...she knew the popular kind. Addison was...that kind. The musician had learned not to associate with that kind...but Addison had a bit of a thing in her that made her seem in the slightest genuine.
Next, she was talking directly to Jezalee.
The blond turned her head in Addison's direction and looked at her, an eyebrow raising. "Nice to know." she said, and then both her eyebrows raised and her eyes widened when Addison snubbed Jeremy.
Jeremy Tornone - the guy that most people liked because he was funny and some people were stupid enough to think that he was actually good-looking.
New girl, Addison Monroe, snubbed him...that was as good as snubbing Jez's brother, Anthony.
This girl was...different. That was for sure.
"Umm..." Jez was still in shock that Addison had done that - and it seemed to be because of Jezalee herself to. For her. And...that was just odd on it's own. Jez had practically shrugged off and insulted Addison and then she...shunned Jeremy and practically just committed social suicide.
Wow.
She took a few steps toward Addison and continued till she was at her side and she leaned down till her mouth was a few inches from her ear.
"I'm not leaving for just the fact of Jeremy being there - it's just when he has an idea that is 'real fun' in his mind...you want to ditch and get away from him as soon as possible. The lunch room and him thinking something real fun is to come - as a plan of his - is a bad combo." She whispered quickly, and then glanced at Jeremy.
"I'd suggest leaving now before it's too late." She muttered, before standing up straight and clutching her notebook as tight as she could to her chest as she gave Jeremy a stony gaze.
"How long until you have some 'real fun' in the cafeteria, Jeremy? Or, do I honestly have to wait for you to answer?" She said, raising an eyebrow at him.
She positioned her legs in a ready position - ready to dodge, run, whatever she had to do.
Jeremy was sometimes very unpredictable - like right now.

Jezalee didn't realize that I didn't care at all what Jeremy had to say. I was going to do whatever i wanted to when I wanted to.
"Jezalee, you are a pretty girl and you shouldn't have to be afraid of a low life like Jeremy," Addison said looking at Jezalee.
I watched as Jeremy's mouth dropped even more. He didn't know what to say at all. I came to this school out of choice and now I have shot down one of the most popular kids in school.
"Jeremy are you gonna leave? You know you really should leave a able your really not wanted at. You are so not wanted at this table," I said to Jeremy in a snobbish tone.
I really didn't want to stir up to much in this school but I guess I have to be my old self and make everyone notice me.
