Emily began lightly chewing on her tongue during the absence of the note, she was immensely grateful for Haden's companionship- even if it was only through note-passing. Otherwise she might have been bored out of her skull, and instead of making up test answers she might have spent the time trying to figure out where a pressure point was to make herself pass out. Emily finally made a somewhat educated guess to the last problem, and while not confident in any of her answers was overjoyed to be finished.
She just hoped the teacher wouldn't stick her in detention a second time over the same test. Emily smiled at Haden and his smooth recovery- it had been a narrow escape. Thankfully their note-passing had not been caught, Emily wasn't sure how harshly the supervising teacher would punish them for it. She then turned her attention to the note.
Yah, I dont like the idea of chetos sudenly atacking me (: And great! I'd like too talk insted of passing notes.
She took extra care in making sure the teacher wasn't watching before passing the note back to Haden- there was no need to have another daring move like that done in the middle of detention. Emily glanced up at the clock, squinting at it. She wished that it were digital, she had always had difficulty reading the time of traditional clocks.

Haden felt very proud of himself for being able to distract the teacher from giving them - Emily and himself - another detention for note passing. He had covered it up as Haden just being...Haden. Himself - which most teachers just brushed off unless they were completely logical like his 'science' teacher, who had just thought he was being a smartass and was currently the reason that he was in detention right now.
The note appeared in front of him again, on the desktop of his desk, and he turned his head a bit and glanced at Emily from the corner of his eye before turning his focus back to the note. He was almost...surprised that she had passed it back.
He unfolded it and read over the scarce amount of words she had written this time, and he had his oh-so-trusty pen in hand as he began to write.
That would be kinda odd...would they have teeth or would they beat up with...each other? Weapons? Huh...or maybe that light saber situation again. Where do they get those things, anyway? o.O And ya...talking would be better otherwise I may have to provide a better distraction. Do you think the teacher would be distracted by a flying pen?
He folded the note back up and looked at the teacher - who was reading the book now, thankfully. Then, pursing his lips in the motion, his swiftly tossed the note back to Emily before spinning his pen on his desktop.
OOC: I got tired of formatting for Haden's note-writage. <

Emily had for the most part given up on trying to figure out what the time was- other than a futile glance up at the clock every so often, head cocked to the side as if looking at it differently would somehow make it easier to decode. She sighed quietly, picking up her test as if going over her answers, while not really looking at it at all- her greyish blue eyes unfocused, legs squirming. Sitting down for this long was killing her, especially since she had forgotten to take her ADHD medication that morning.
She was relieved when the note came back to at the very least occupy her hands and brain for a few seconds. She resisted the urge to chew on her pencil while she tried to think of what to say. She waas much better at saying what she was thinking rather than writing it down.
I have no idea I guess its a good thing they lett us eat them w/o fiteing us. detenshun shud be over soon tho no need to make anuther distraction. Im not shure if a flying pen would distract the teacher more then his book (:
Emily frowned at her writing, she had been still and quiet for far too long and both the state of her handwriting and spelling were rapidly deteriorating. The fact that her chair had long been uncomfortable wasn't helping, either. Emily squirmed, as if she were trying to sit comfortably on a hedgehog. She tossed the note back to Haden, chewing on her tongue and bouncing her leg up and down in a nearly anxious manner.

It took almost longer than usual for the note to make it's way back to Haden - but he didn't mind. He was imagining his pen - which was spinning on his desktop - with a guitar and an afro. His light brown eyes looked at the folded note for a short second before he opened it and read what Em had written this time. He shrugged mentally and stopped his pen, and his hand picked it up as he started writing a reply.
Ya...wouldn't be too fun if they decide to - okay, never mind. That's painful to think about >.< And detention is gonna be over in 7 minutes...so...this should be a torturous wait. o.o And as for the distraction...you're probably right. If only I had a dolphin - I'm sure a flying DOLPHIN would catch his attention :3 So would a flying Emily or a flying Haden xD (;
Haden looked at the teacher for a moment before tossing the note back to Emily.

When Emily looked at the note she felt a sudden surge of glee. Seven minutes and this would be over with. It would most likely be the longest seven minutes of her life, but she would survive. It was just like the last fifteen or so minutes of any other class, really. Emily was just glad that her parents were never home before six, they needn't know about this little experience because of her completely flunked math test. Her father would be furious once he found out.
Im not shure how a dolfin COULD fly sence they liv underwater but that wuld be distrakting. geez I wish I could fly that sownds like fun. Let the countdown begin we can do seven minutes. more like six and a haf now.
Emily glanced up at the teacher, who was still contently reading, before tossing the note back to Haden. She shifted her weight around in her seat, and started gnawing on the end of her pencil- ignoring the odd taste of the varnished wood against her tongue. Emily really wanted out of the freaking chair...

Haden was getting used to the wait to get the note back, and now it seemed like no time at all before the piece of paper was on his desk again. He unfolded it and read over what she had written - with some misspellings, that he honestly didn't mind. His mind didn't ponder too long as to what he should write. He just picked up his pen, and began writing a response.
If it had a bubble of water around it's head that was indestructible, it could fly. And possibly covered with bouncy balls for the landing...or pillows. I'd go for the bouncy balls for the dolphin situation. And flying would be fun...until you fell, of course. Unless you suddenly filled up with helium and just floated...but then you might get hit by a plane...and you would need an endless supply of oxygen - of course. And by the time you get this note - it would be only 5 minutes, darling. ( ;
He folded up the note, and peeked over at the teacher - with his eyes glued to the pages of the book he had in his hands - and he tossed the note back at Emily with a little grin on his face.

Emily smiled when the note came back to her, it was making detention all the more bearable. Normally she would never be in one spot, completely silent, for this long- unless of course she was asleep. But her mother had told her she was a violent sleeper- always thrashing about and throwing extra pillows on the floor. Emily held in a laugh behind her hand at the note, the mental picture of a dolphin zooming around the room with a bunch of bouncy balls on its underside and a dome of water encompassing its head was very amusing indeed.
That wuld be distrakting. I wunder what aminal control wuld even do if they got a call abuot that. What if we flew with wings? Like brids or fairys then we wuldnt need helium. thank god its almost over!
Without even looking at the teacher Emily tossed the note back to Haden, and then returned to pretending to looking over her test again as she shifted around in her chair. She bit her lip, wishing that she could somehow make time go faster.

Haden watched the clock and before he knew it, the note was back and the clock said 3 minutes and 13, 12, 11 seconds until detention was out. He almost smiled, but instead pursed his lips before looking at the note. He then began to pen a reply.
Wouldn't it? And animal control...I don't think they'd be able to do anything about that. I'm sure the dolphin would somehow get a baseball bat and they wouldn't WANT to come. And flying with wings? Those can get ripped off you know - and they will more than likely actually be attached to us. So, wouldn't that...hurt...?
And as for the class being over...well, only 2 and a half minutes now. How great is that?
He didn't even glance at the teacher, too anxious about the class being out very soon. His light brown eyes stared at the clock as it ticked past 2 and a half minutes and started toward 2 minutes. Then, before he knew it, it was at 1 and half minutes.
'Yes!'
